“I Love When You Read” is an entertaining literacy DVD for families of children ages 0-6. It is an inclusive video with participation of families from a variety of cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds. “I Love When You Read” uses simple modeling strategies and straightforward advice to bring enthusiasm and joy to literacy information.
A Great Addition to Early Learning Outreach Programs
This DVD is the perfect addition to early-literacy outreach programs, resource libraries and schools. School Districts have given this DVD to parents as part of their “Ready, Set, Learn” program. Parents who have registered their children for Kindergarten as well as those parents with children in school have also received this DVD through a variety of early-learning initiatives.

I Love When You Read will be included in “BC Books for Babies Bags along with books, CD’s and a variety of literacy material. 40 000 babies over the next year will receive I Love When You Read for free through this initiative.

When families receive I Love When You Read it is not thrown away like so many pieces of paper but it is placed in DVD collections where they can refer to it time-and-time again. This DVD is especially effective at bringing literacy information to parents and caregivers with low-literacy rates.
